With the TMCH service Schlund Technologies offers you several extra services. Due to the centralized storage of data, time-consuming individual validations for each Sunrise phase are no longer necessary - saving manpower and money. Use of the TMCH Service includes the following features:

• Sunrise services
• Trademark Claims Services
• Abused DNL Service
• Attach up to 20 labels per trademark and period at the price of 10
     (according to the technical requirements of the TMCH provider)

Your advantage: Participate in all new gTLD sunrise phases

During a new gTLD sunrise phase, trademark owners can protect their trademarks under the new TLD and receive preference to register trademark domains – in as far as they meet the registration requirements of the respective registries. The trademark rights must be verified for this. This is achieved by specifying all relevant trademark data at the TMCH.

Comfortable service in the SchlundTech web interface
Benefit from an additional tool in the SchlundTech web interface to submit all relevant trademark data. Before forwarding the submitted data to Trademark Clearinghouse Schlund Technologies checks if the data are complete and correct. Then Trademark Clearinghouse validates the data via Deloitte and records them in the TMCH database.

After checking and verifying the specified data, the TMCH provider creates a so-called SMD file. This file contains all the necessary trademark data and serves as proof of the required trademark rights. All registries are able to access this file and use it to process the sunrise applications of trademark holders more efficiently. With a successful record in the TMCH database trademark owners can participate in all sunrise phases of new gTLDs without further data hassle.

Advantage for trademark holders:
You only need to submit the required trademark details once and the proof can be used for all Sunrise applications under all new gTLDs. Multiple entries of trademark data are not necessary, saving you time and money. 

Important note: A record in the TMCH database does not guarantee the actual allocation of trademark domains. In addition, please note that the respective registry policies apply for domain registrations in all cases.
 

Trademark Claims Service - stay posted

In the web interface you also have the possibility to make use of the Trademark Claims Service

In General Availability, domain registration follows the first-come, first-served principle and is open to anyone who meets the registration requirements of the relevant TLD. If an interested party registers a domain that corresponds to the trademark specified in the TMCH, the interested party receives a trademark claims notice and is informed that the registration of the term may infringe the rights of a third party. If the interested party nevertheless decides to carry out the registration, the affected trademark holder receives a so-called "Notification of Registered Name" (NORN) and is informed that the registration of the term may infringe his rights. 

If the interested party abstains from a registration of the relevant domain, no NORN will be sent to the trademark owner.

Extended Claims Service
With this additional service the trademark owner will continue to receive a notification after the previously applicable 90-day period in case an interested party registers a domain that corresponds with his trademark registered with Trademark Clearinghouse.

Abused DNL Service - for already prevailed labels
The Abused DNL Service (also +50) is an additional Trademark Claims service that helps trademark holders protect labels that have previously been abused and for which they have already prevailed in court or Uniform Domain Name Dispute. Subject to a fee, up to 50 officially confirmed labels at the Trademark Clearinghouse and make use of the Trademark Claims Service for these.
